MILC’s Independent Living (IL) Program assists individuals to learn skills to live independently in their communities. MILC’s Independent Living Program is accepting applications for a Certified Peer Specialist.

Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) are persons who have not only lived the experience of mental illness but also have had formal training in the peer specialist model of mental health supports for adults. They use their unique set of recovery experiences in combination with solid skills training to support peers who have mental illness.

This position is located at our Wisconsin Rapids Drop-In Center–River Cities Clubhouse. This is a part time position: 20-25 hours/week. Monday through Friday  10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

MILC’s Personal Assistant Services (PAS) provides assistance to adults and children with disabilities. Services are provided in the comfort of the individual’s home and determined by the consumer’s needs through a Plan of Care.

Assistance can range from simple personal needs to complex personal care. PAS employees are generally assigned to a series of short-term assignments and may be assigned multiple consumers. The position may require travel. An assignment may end with little or no advance notice.

MILC’s PAS offers: competitive wages, flexible scheduling, paid travel for qualifying assignments, and paid training.
