MILC’s Personal Assistant Services (PAS) provides assistance to adults and children with disabilities. Services are provided in the comfort of the individual’s home and determined by the consumer’s needs through a Plan of Care.

Assistance can range from simple personal needs to complex personal care. PAS employees are generally assigned to a series of short-term assignments and may be assigned multiple consumers. The position may require travel. An assignment may end with little or no advance notice.

MILC’s PAS offers: competitive wages, flexible scheduling, paid travel for qualifying assignments, and paid training.

MILC Positions

IRIS Consultant

Accepting applications until qualified candidate is hired.

This position is located in Stevens Point, WI. 

Monday through Friday
9 a.m.-5 p.m. 

$19-$21 per hour

Under the general supervision of the IRIS Consultant Agency’s (ICA) IRIS Program Coordinator the IRIS Consultant (IC) is responsible for providing ongoing support and assistance to participants enrolled in the IRIS program within the ICA’s service area.

Responsibilities include but not limited to providing orientation to new participants of the IRIS program, informing participants of their rights and responsibilities as participants in the IRIS program, act as primary contact for the IRIS program to participants, assist participants to complete necessary paperwork, answer questions and address concerns regarding the IRIS program, identify their long-term support needs, desired goals and outcomes, identify informal or natural supports to help meet their desired outcomes, develop and implement an Individual Services and Support Plan (ISSP), collaborate with participants, natural supports, service providers, community resources and other in order to assist participants to meet their identified outcomes, accurately complete and submit to the Department of Health Services (DHS) all required forms, assessments and documentation for review and approval as indicated by the IRIS program policies and procedures.


PEER SPECIALIST

This position is located in Marshfield, WI

Monday through Friday
9 a.m.-3 p.m. 

$15/hour

A Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist preferred OR must be eligible to become certified within six(6) months of employment is required. Must be a Certified Peer Specialist to be a permanent employee.

 Individual must have lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges and intentionally share personal recovery story as appropriate to assist consumer, providing hope and help in changing patterns and behaviors.

The ability to maintain consumer information, knowledge of disability rights and commitment to Independent Living philosophy, knowledge of community resources, good oral and written communication skills, ability to problem-solve, working knowledge of and ability to use a computer, and ability to work a flexible schedule as workload dictates are required. Experience in the delivery of presentations and training to groups preferred.

Responsibilities include but not limited to providing peer support and mentoring, facilitating one-on-one and/or group meetings and presentations, problem solving with individuals, promoting self-direction and recovery while assisting peers to meet their chosen goals while living with mental illness and/or substance use disorder.


Office Cleaner

This position is located in Stevens Point, WI. 

3 hour shift one day per week. Duties must be performed between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Day of week will be determined upon hire.

Under the direct supervision the Executive Director the Office Cleaner will provide quality cleaning services to maintain and ensure the office space including restrooms, lobby and other areas within the office are kept clean and tidy.
