Hello, I am Alex Lena. I work for Midstate Independent Living Choices (MILC) in Stevens Point. I started with MILC in May 2019 as an Independent Living Consultant with an area of focus on Assistive Technology (AT). In this role, I worked with our consumers on our core services, maintained our loan and demonstration equipment, completed AT assessments, completed home and vehicle modification assessments as well as ADA compliance assessments, and more. In April 2023, I took over as the Independent Living Department Manager.
I received my bachelor’s degree in health science, Pre-Occupational Therapy, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) in 2014. I went back to school in 2016 at Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) and received my associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2018. I hold a certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). I also have an Executive Certificate in Home Modification Program from the University of Southern California (USC).
