Madison Matijevich is an Independent Living Consultant with a focus on Youth Transition. This involves working with families as an IEP (Individual Education Plan) advocate, teaching MILC’s 5 self-empowerment courses, and supporting young adults with disabilities as they transition into adulthood. In addition, Madison is a certified peer specialist and can provide 1 on 1 peer support in the community. Madison is a person with a disability and was raised by a mother with disabilities. They have a BA in Gender and Women Studies from UW Madison and has experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field, education, and advocacy.
