MILC’s Personal Assistant Services (PAS) provides assistance to adults and children with disabilities. Services are provided in the comfort of the individual’s home and determined by the consumer’s needs through a Plan of Care.
Assistance can range from simple personal needs to complex personal care. PAS employees are generally assigned to a series of short-term assignments and may be assigned multiple consumers. The position may require travel. An assignment may end with little or no advance notice.

This position is based out of Stevens Point but travel within service area and statewide required.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of In-Home Services the RN Case Manager will provide case management services for an assigned caseload of consumers and assess individuals to develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans for individuals receiving personal care services in their home ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Midstate Independent Living Choices (MILC) is currently seeking applicants to fill a full-time Peer Specialist position. A Wisconsin Certified Peer Specialist preferred OR eligible to become certified within six (6) months of employment is required. Must be a Certified Peer Specialist to be a permanent employee.
Individual must have lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges and intentionally share personal recovery story as appropriate to assist consumer, providing hope and help in changing patterns and behaviors. The ability to maintain consumer information, knowledge of disability rights and commitment to Independent Living philosophy, knowledge of community resources, good oral and written communication skills, ability to problem-solve, working knowledge of and ability to use a computer, and ability to work a flexible schedule as workload dictates are required. Experience in the delivery of presentations and trainings to groups preferred.
Responsibilities include but not limited to providing peer support and mentoring, facilitating one-on-one and/or group meetings and presentations, problem solving with individuals, promoting self-direction and recovery while assisting peers to meet their chosen goals while living with mental illness and/or substance use disorder.
