Peer Specialist

This position is located in Marshfield, WI. 

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m, position.

$17/per hour

Individual must have lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges and intentionally share personal recovery story as appropriate to assist consumer, providing hope and help in changing patterns and behaviors.

Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) are persons who have not only lived experience of mental illness/substance use disorder but also have had formal training in the peer specialist model of mental health supports for adults. They use their unique set of recovery experiences in combination with solid skills training to support peers with mental health/substance use challenges.

Wisconsin Peer Specialist Certification is required. Employee hired without certification must be eligible to become certified within six(6) months of employment and will be a limited term employee until certification obtained. Once certification is obtained the employee status changes to full-time, non-exempt with benefits.

Personal Assistant Services (PAS) team?

MILC’s Personal Assistant Services (PAS) provides assistance to adults and children with disabilities in the comfort of the individual’s home and is determined by the consumer’s needs through a Plan of Care.

Services offered are personal care, supportive home care and respite.

PAS employees are generally assigned to a series of short-term assignments and may be assigned to multiple consumers. The position may require travel.

MILC PAS offers: competitive wages, flexible scheduling, paid travel for qualifying assignments, and paid training.
