MILC’s Personal Assistant Services (PAS) provides assistance to adults and children with disabilities. Services are provided in the comfort of the individual’s home and determined by the consumer’s needs through a Plan of Care.

Assistance can range from simple personal needs to complex personal care. PAS employees are generally assigned to a series of short-term assignments and may be assigned multiple consumers. The position may require travel. An assignment may end with little or no advance notice.

MILC’s PAS offers: competitive wages, flexible scheduling, paid travel for qualifying assignments, and paid training.

Independent Living Program Director

Immediate opening!

The IL Program Director is responsible for the overall management of services and programs within MILC’s IL Department. The IL Program Director will facilitate consumer directed services to person with disabilities within an 11 county service area and will implement MILC’s outreach and advocacy plans, mentor grants, contracts, reports and develop quality assurance measures. The IL Program Director manages all employees with the IL Department and is responsible for the performance management of these employees by providing direction, training and evaluation of performance.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree Required. Human Services or other related field.

5 years experience REQUIRED in:

-supervision and evaluation of staff
-developing and advocating for services for people with disabilities
-managing programs, grants, and outcomes

5 years experience working with people with disabilities or first-hand experience with a disability preferred.
