Celebrate disability identity and culture at MILC’s first ever Disability Pride Festival. The event will feature fan favorites like adapted kayaking, and new activities like workshops, food trucks, and disability led vendors and entertainment. We are so excited to offer an event that has something for everyone. So save the date, and we’ll see you there!

Entertainment:

We’re putting together a schedule, stay tuned! Throughout the day we’ll have a variety of stage performances including DJ Buffet, an Elvis impersonator, cover bands, and a speaker or two!

Adapted Kayaking:

The Annual Kayaking Event is merging with Disability Pride for 2025! We’re thrilled to be working again with Northward Peddle and Paddle to provide all the kayaking gear. Open to all ages and abilities, we’ll be offering tandem or individual kayaking with a variety of adaptations to ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy time on the water!

Adapted Cycling:

Join the Hostel Shoppe for some cycling around the small pond at Pacawa Park! They’ll have recumbent bikes and other adaptations for anyone to try!

5K Roll & Stroll for Independence:

Kick off the day with our inclusive fundraiser! This peer-to-peer 5K run/walk/roll is open to everyone, and is free to register. Funds raised will help empower people with disabilities to live independently.

💰 There is no cost to register, but participants are encouraged to fundraise or donate to unlock exclusive Roll & Stroll incentives: 

  • $40 – Official Roll & Stroll for Independence T-shirt 
  • $150 – Official MILC 25th Anniversary Backpack 
  • $300 – Official MILC 25th Anniversary Performance Jacket
