More about me:

Prior to coming to Midstate Independent Living Choices (MILC), I had 15 years of experience working in the school system with youth in a Learning Disability/Emotional Disability classroom. I then became a facilitator for youths in a court-mandated group home, working with youth in transition struggling with mental health issues.

I began my career at MILC as an Independent Living Consultant, working with individuals of all ages with varying disabilities. I provided resources and information to individuals to assist them in making informed choices and to meet their goals. I taught independent living skills, completed home assessments, assisted individuals in obtaining assistive technology, and supported self-determination through self-advocacy.

I became a certified Work Incentive Benefits Specialist and gained more experience with understanding social security benefits, the appeal process when benefits are denied, and identifying barriers to career goals and removing those barriers. I became the IRIS Program Director in 2016 and provide IRIS Consultant services as well.

I enjoy antiquing, cooking, and taking my dogs for walks. To de-stress, I enjoy long lingering mornings. My favorite hobby is decorating and I have been hired to decorate for weddings and special events.

I look forward to meeting you and assisting in meeting your self-directed goals.
